Financial Center First CU launches new online learning platform
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 15, 2021) Financial Center First Credit Union has officially launched its new online financial education platform, Wealth Builder Online, in partnership with Banzai. As a result of expanding its program, Financial Center is now offering online courses for all ages, including Banzai Junior (8-12), Banzai Teen (13-18), and Banzai Adult (Plus).
An additional expansion of the program is the introduction of “Banzai Coaches,” providing judgement-free virtual advice on a number of financial topics, with each session lasting between 5 and 15 minutes. Users can also work on their budgeting skills with over 30 calculators in the financial education library.

Financial Center appoints new board member
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 12, 2021)
Financial Center First Credit Union has appointed Jeff George to its Board of Directors. George joins the Board as a part of Financial Center’s recent merger with Ball State Federal Credit Union Board and is serving on the Budget and Technology committees.
George brings over 30 years of experience in Information Technology to the Financial Center Board of Directors. He began working at Ball State University in October 1998 as a Distributed Systems Programmer/Analyst in the University Computing Services department in Information Services, and in July of 2011 was promoted to Director of Financial Information Systems and Technology. George is also an active member of the PCI Compliance Committee, and a Data Steward for Human Resources. Additionally, he is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Management Information Systems.
Dan Kavanaugh, Financial Center chief sales and marketing officer retires
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 12, 2021)
Financial Center First Credit Union Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Daniel T. Kavanaugh, retired on January 8, 2021 after serving in the position for 10 years.
Kavanaugh led the rebranding of the credit union in 2012, introducing a new logo and integrating the brand promise of “Improving Your Financial Life” throughout the organization. Additionally, he redesigned Financial Center’s select employer group service strategy, introduced a top-tier Health Savings Account program, and focused the credit union’s community service initiatives – leading to more than 25 state and national awards during his tenure.
