Das Innenministerium stockt die Zahl der Beamten zur Grenzsicherung im Burgenland weiter auf. 27 Polizistinnen und Polizisten aus den Bundesländern Steiermark, Kärnten, Oberösterreich und Salzburg verstärken den Einsatz an der burgenländischen Grenze, gab Innenminister Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) am Mittwoch in einer Aussendung bekannt. Die Maßnahmen im Burgenland dienen der Schleppereibekämpfung, um die Routen unattraktiv zu machen, so der Minister.
