Police say the shelter-in-place has been lifted and a suspect is now in custody after the suspect refused to come out of a home in the 21300 block of Byerly Turk.
Man arrested after SWAT standoff at Northwest Austin apartments
The Williamson County sheriff’s office and the Central Texas Regional SWAT Team have arrested a 20-year-old man following a standoff in Northwest Austin on Tuesday.
The man has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence, and aggravated kidnapping, according to a sheriff s press release.
There were no injuries, the release said. The standoff lasted more than three hours on Tuesday afternoon after the man barricaded himself at the Hendrix apartments at 9815 Copper Creek Drive in Northwest Austin. Residents in and around building 10 are advised to stay inside their apartment and should shelter in place as the situation progresses peacefully, the sheriff s office said in a tweet earlier in the day. All others should avoid the area.

20-year-old Kaliceon Lewis has been arrested and booked in the Williamson County Jail.

Lewis has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Family Violence, and Aggravated Kidnapping.
The Williamson County Sheriff s Office worked with the Central Texas Regional SWAT Team in a joint operation with a barricaded subject at the Hendrix Apartments located at 9815 Copper Creek Drive in Austin.
