Fremont NAACP to hold virtual election
FREMONT- The Fremont Unit 3217 of the NAACP it will hold its virtual election of officers in April. Anyone wishing to be added to the Nominations Slate should call 770-821-8808. Individuals can express interest in all positions including executive board. Details will provided in March.
Oak Harbor chamber plans Easter Egg Hunt
OAK HARBOR - The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. March 27.
The event will begin in Adolphus Kraemer Park at the Log Cabin with an Easter Egg Hunt, followed by a candy hunt downtown. Attendees must follow the guidelines for masks and social distancing. The event is free to the public and open to children ages 12 and under. For more information contact the chamber office at 419-898-0479.

The Terra State Community College Board of Trustees announced that Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Nicholas H. Gerber of Port Clinton and Mircea Handru of Tiffin to serve on the board of trustees, and Timothy Myers of Fremont for another term.
“I am excited to join the team and serve Terra State and the local communities. Terra State is such an awesome resource to our community, and I look forward to sharing the message and helping expand the opportunities,” said Gerber, vice president of business development for The Ashley Group of Sandusky.
Handru is the executive director for the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties. Myers is general manager of Century Die Company in Fremont.
