NCERT drops references to Babri Masjid demolition, Gujarat riots, Hindutva
NCERT's Class 11 chapter on Secularism earlier stated that over 1,000 people, mostly Muslims were massacred during the Godhra riots in Gujarat in 2002. It has now been changed to “more than 1,000 persons were killed during the post Godhra riots in Gujarat in 2002”.
