Deming came away with a 44-41 victory over the host Silver High Fighting Colts to claim the District 3-4A Tournament championship.

Both Deming and Silver high boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will clash on Saturday to clear the air on district supremacy.

Silver High now owns two wins over the Deming High Wildcats following Monday’s 58-54 playoff victory at Hatch Valley High School.

The Deming High Wildcats sent out their seniors on a high note Friday with a 45-29 victory in the team’s final regular season home game against the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors.

For the second time in less than a week the Deming High School Wildcats had to kick-start the engines in a key District 3-4A matchup.
