Nach der Bekanntgabe von Audi kündigte nun auch VW an, sich ab dem Jahr 2033 von Diesel und Benzin verabschieden zu wollen.
VW will sich ab dem Jahr 2033 von Diesel und Benzin verabschieden und nur noch Fahrzeuge mit E-Antrieb verkaufen. Dies schilderte der der Vertriebsvorstand des deutschen Autokonzerns, Klaus Zellmer, gegenüber dem Münchner Merkur (Samstag-Ausgabe). Konkret heißt es:
In Europa steigen wir zwischen 2033 und 2035 aus dem Geschäft mit Verbrennerfahrzeugen aus.
In den USA und China werde der Ausstieg hingegen etwas später stattfinden. In Südamerika und Afrika werde es sogar noch etwas länger dauern. Erst kürzlich hatte auch Konzerntochter Audi eine ähnliche Ankündigung gemacht und einen Zeitrahmen für den Abschied vom Verbrennungsmotor genannt.

Detroit homeless shelters have experienced an influx of people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Many people have found themselves at homeless shelters as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It took a big toll on us and the population we serve. We no longer can bunk people. We can t keep people next to each other, said Dr. Chad Audi, founder and president of Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.
The pandemic s toll has caused shelters to see an influx of people in need. They just called me and said you can t come back to work and it made me feel real bad because I need to take care of my two children, said a woman receiving help at a shelter.
