Paris has been infested with bedbugs since summer 2023. If you’re going on a honeymoon in Paris soon, here’s how to navigate the outbreak before, during, and after your trip, according to a travel expert.

The question that lingered was, as Dr. Carter had put it, would my arthritic hip pass the “acid test” on 105 miles of trail with 30,000 feet of accumulated ascents and descents over 11 mountain passes between 3,200 and 8,000 feet of elevation into France, Italy and Switzerland.

Western Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc, has lost more than two meters (6.5 ft) in height over the past two years, French researchers said on Thursday. A team of geographical experts who perform the measurements every two years told a news conference in Chamonix in the French Alps that the mountain was now 4,805.59 meters (15766.37 ft) high, lower than their last measurement of 4,807.81 meters (15773.65 ft) in September 2021.

Researchers have been measuring the peak since 2001 to analyze the impact of climate change. Alpine glaciers have been melting rapidly, with data showing they lost around one-third of their volume over two decades.

The experts said it is now up to climatologists, glaciologists and other scientists to look at the data collected and put forward all the theories to explain this phenomenon.
