Guitarist Ronnie Stoops Talks Songwriting and Recent Success

Ronnie Stoops posing at Henderson Park with the new Champ Clark bridge. In October, we featured singer Kathryn Washington-Shipley’s journey into country/gospel music and her song, “This Will Always Be My Town.”   The music video for the song featured Shipley and the song’s writer, Ronnie Stoops, in various locations around Louisiana.    The song itself won the duo two Josie Awards, made it through the first round of Grammy selections, and topped the charts at NashVegas Radio.   Part of the song and subsequent music video’s success stems from the incredible visuals provided by Dylan Hetelle of Peak Media Video Productions and the efforts of its producer Daniel Dennis of Prime Cut Studios in Nashville.

From Liberals to Trump: Where Now the Forgotten Man and Woman?

From Liberals to Trump: Where Now the Forgotten Man and Woman? Supporters of Donald Trump watch as pro-impeachment demonstrators march in downtown Los Angeles, California in 2019 (Los Angeles Times) Originally written for America Unfiltered, the joint project of EA WorldView and University College Dublin’s Clinton: Miss Manners, he is not, but sometimes Donald Trump is inadvertently truthful. During an October campaign rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, Trump told voters, “You know, before the plague came in, I had it made. I wasn’t coming to Erie. I mean, I have to be honest. There was no way I was coming. I didn’t have to.”

Rep.-elect Chad Perkins On Northeast Missouri's Deep Red Shift

/ State Rep.-elect Chad Perkins, R-Bowling Green State Rep.-elect Chad Perkins joined St. Louis Public Radio’s Jason Rosenbaum on the latest episode of Politically Speaking to talk about his election to the Missouri House and northeast Missouri’s political metamorphosis. The Bowling Green Republican will represent Missouri’s 40th District, which takes in portions of Pike, Ralls, Monroe and Lincoln counties. He is succeeding state Rep. Jim Hansen, a Frankford Republican who was barred from running again by term limits. Here’s what Perkins talked about during the program: How northeast Missouri went from a Democratic bastion when he was growing up to one of the most Republican areas in the entire state. Perkins says the national Democratic Party’s leftward drift on social issues supercharged the political realignment.
