A small part of Autoroute 20 westbound is closed for roadwork until 5 a.m. Monday, one of many closures taking place this weekend.

The bridge has been out of service since June 2019, 57 years after its inauguration. 

A new phase of deconstruction of the former Champlain Bridge, which linked Montreal and the South Shore for 57 years, will begin in the coming weeks: the removal of the bridges piers and underwater footings.
