Three villagers were killed in an exchange of fire between two groups in Thowai village of Manipurs Ukhrul district. Security forces arrived in the area and sounds of heavy gunfire were heard early on Friday morning. This happened after several days of peace in the area. The deceased were identified as Jamkhogin Haokip, Thangkhokai Haokip, and Hollenson Baite.
