Nomination window for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand opened on Monday. Several candidates purchased their nomination papers on the first day. Sanjay Seth, the BJP’s candidate from the Ranchi Lok Sabha seat, will file his nomination papers on May 2. Seven other candidates purchased the papers. SUCI candidate Mintu Paswan filed his nomination on Monday. 18 candidates, including Baghmara MLA Dulu Mahto, purchased their nomination papers in Dhanbad. Mahto will file his nomination papers on April 30. Congress candidate Anupama Singh will file her nomination on May 1. Jamshedpur witnessed two nominations on Monday. No candidate filed nominations for Giridih seat. Candidates can file nominations till May 6. Scrutiny of papers on May 7, last date of withdrawal on May 9. Total of 9 candidates purchased nomination papers for Giridih Lok Sabha seat on Monday.
