The Wilmington Police Department has arrested two men in connection to the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man in October.
Hykeem Quintell Durant, 31, and Dashon Maroze Davis, 30, were arrested in Wilmington on Jan. 5 in connection the death of Charles Bernard Ross Jr. on Oct. 5, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
Both men have been charged with first degree murder and remain in jail without bond.
Around 6:25 a.m. on Oct. 5, police responded to the 4100 block of Princess Place Drive, where they found Ross suffering from life-threatening wounds. He was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where he died during surgery.

Durant’s and Davis’ arrests were the result of combined efforts from U.S. Marshals Carolina Regional Task Force, S.W.A.T. and the Mobile Field Force. Both suspects were charged with first degree murder and are being held without bond.
31-year-old Charles Bernard Ross Jr. was found on a Monday morning at 6:25, after police responded to a shooting in the 4100 block of Princess Place Dr. Upon arrival, officers found Ross with life-threatening wounds and had him transported to NHRMC where he passed away during surgery.
