A Maryland man has been arrested, accused of stalking a woman and committing a sex offense. The charges came after Charles County detectives began to investigate the suspect after he allegedly harassed two 15-year-old girls, trying to get them into his car.
On March 22, the facts of the case were presented to a Charles County Grand Jury which indicted Anthony Lamont Hagens, age 42, of Waldorf, with stalking, fourth-degree sex offense, and other related charges. An arrest warrant was issued.
The case was reviewed with the Charles County State’s Attorney’s Office and on December 1, went before a Charles County Grand Jury which returned an indictment charging Carlos Lavanto Garner, age 37, of Bryans Road, with second-degree murder, manslaughter, and felony use of a firearm.
