Blind Boys of Alabama win sixth Grammy award with 2024 Best Roots Gospel Album

Congratulations to five-time GRAMMY winners and Gospel Music Hall of Famers The Blind Boys of Alabama on their 2024 Grammy nominations for Best American Roots Performance (“Heaven Help Us All,”) Best Americana Performance (“Friendship”) and Best Roots Gospel Album (Echoes of the South). With today’s nominations, which are the most-ever in a single year for the group, The Blind Boys of Alabama are now 16-time Grammy nominees.

Blind Boys of Alabama have shared “Work Until My Days Are Done,” which finds the five-time GRAMMY winners shifting between heart-wrenching doo-wop and a raucous, rafter-raising second half; recalling the group’s rich history “epitomizing a livelier breed of gospel” (New York Times).

Blind Boys of Alabama will return on August 25 with Echoes Of The South, which finds the Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees coming home to honor those theyve lost, on a bold declaration of how far they still plan to go.
