The developer behind a £2 billion garden village in Hampshire will start appointing architects in the next three months to deliver his vision of ‘Classical, traditional architecture’
Mark Thistlethwayte, a former investment banker and local landowner, aims to build 6,000 homes at Welborne Garden Village over the next 25 years.

Asked to spell out the vision, Thistlethwayte told the AJ: ‘It s Classical, traditional architecture with a twist to the future.’
The project’s overall design is being shaped by Ben Pentreath, an architect and interior designer who worked on Prince Charles’s Poundbury scheme.
