Those planning on driving this weekend should be aware that major roadwork is scheduled on several highways and closures will be in effect. Drivers should avoid the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, the Anjou Interchange on the Metropolitaine Expressway (A-40), Saint-Pierre Interchange, and Laviolette Bridge, among other roads listed below.
Those planning on driving into Montreal for the CF Montreal playoff game, the Habs game on Saturday or any other event should know there are major closures that will affect traffic. The Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel towards Montreal will be closed, meaning traffic will build up around approaches to the Jacques-Cartier Bridge as well, and Highway 40 eastbound in the West Island will have closures.
This weekend, commuters are advised to avoid the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel heading north and the Saint-Pierre Interchange as traffic is expected to be bad.
Anyone planning on driving in the Montreal area this weekend should expect delays at the Lafontaine tunnel (A-25), the Metropolitan Expressway (A-40) and the Ville-Marie Expressway (R-136).
