Local politician reunites rap group to stop violence in Savannah

A state politician and two Georgia businessmen are using rap to stop the violence.

"Our group started touring with Salt-N-Peppa, Heavy-D, and Bobby Brown just to name a few, and then went on to do national PSA's and national tours," said Georgia Representative Carl Gilliard. Rep. Gilliard, who heads the Chatham County Legislative Gang Prevention and Intervention Commission, and his childhood friends Daren Gayle and Lonnie Green used positive themes in all their songs.
