hoping to do? when we passed the wall street reform bill, this was an amendment put on, when it was originally put on, supposed to put up a two tiered system for the fees on debit cards to protect the banks at $10 million. the regulators say they can t implement it the way it is, find no way to do that so it would be effective. i m saying, that s not what we voted on, delay this, study it, get good facts. if we get good information, we can make good decisions. we didn t have good information. we will faulk about unintended consequences on credit unions and community banks, which could be bad for rural americans and bad for small businesses and consumers. and limit the size of debit card transactions and free checking services at some banks. that s exactly right. the fallout for this could be bad. we need to study it. senator jon tester of montana. thanks for joining us and hope
