Flouting Covid-19 norms cost dearly to two wedding parties after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) took action against them. In last two days, the BMC raided two wedding venues and booked several people after they were allegedly found flouting Covid-19 norms.
On Monday, the BMC officials raided a gymkhana (recreation centre) in the suburban area of Chembur in Mumbai after a tip-off. During the raid, they found almost 300-500 people attending a function. The catering manager and wedding organisers were booked after the raid.
