The Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence is pleased to announce this request for proposals for academic year 2023-2024 that will provide grants of up to $4,000 for Faculty Fellows to engage in activities associated with student excellence.

The Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence gives students an opportunity to learn about a unique educational program next week.

The Curiosity Fair at UK is an annual, community event that celebrates the role of curiosity in education. Faculty, staff and students create “curiosity stations'' or short demos that represent ideas from their classes, fields or research. There is always a wide variety of disciplines, and the event is an informal and fun way for participants to engage with new people and ideas with hopes to remind the campus community that learning is fun.

The Chellgren Center endowment will fund five new professorships that will commence at the beginning of either the 2023 spring or fall semesters.

The University of Kentucky Nu Circle of national leadership honor society Omicron Delta Kappa (OΔK) and the Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence recently co-hosted the OΔK National Leadership Conference June 2-5. The conference offered attendees an opportunity to learn from nationally recognized leaders, discover best practices as an honor society and acknowledge award achievement. 

As part of the five-year fellowship, NSF Fellows receive a three-year annual stipend of $34,000 along with a $12,000 cost of education allowance for tuition and fees for a research-based master's or doctoral degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) field.
