Walmart Canada will no longer use single-use plastic bags for in-store purchases, online grocery pickup and deliveries in all locations across the country.

Bimbo Canada announced on Monday that all its bread products will only use compostable clips by June 2022, starting at its commercial bakery in New Brunswick.

While the government announced in the fall of 2020 that its ban on several single-use plastic items would take effect by the end of this year, Environment and Climate Change Canada now says final regulations will be published some time next year instead.
