Delays might be impacting other local airports. Here at the Oakland Airport two flights on the board were supposed to take off from San Francisco. They were instead reroute heard through oakland. San Jose International Airport says theyre also accommodating rerouted flights. Is there anything that could have been done to prevent this from happening . Not really. We saw evidence that the base layer below the surface was starting to fail, and weve been trying other solutions that would have avoided a runway closure, and these other solutions werent successful.
