As Rome Memorial Hospital adopts Rome Health as its new name, the healthcare system is preparing to embark upon a $13.1 million capital project to create a new Physician Center on its main campus at 1500 N. James St., Rome, announced President/Chief Executive Officer Mark Murphy on Tuesday.
Primary and specialty care clinics are currently scattered across multiple locations within 2 miles of the hospital.
“Bringing them together on the hospital’s main campus will provide greater convenience for patients with the proximity of diagnostic testing and pharmacy in a single location,” Murphy said. “The new Physician Center will provide one stop for your care for enhanced access and convenience. Primary care and specialty physicians, comprehensive diagnostic testing, lab tests and pharmacy services will all be available in one location.”
