The Transcript caught up with Chief James DiGianvittorio to go over the police log for what seems to have been a pretty quiet week in Middleton, Feb. 15-21. By the way, DiGianvittorio s last day on the job is Friday, Feb 26. The Transcript wishes him the best of luck in retirement. The new chief will be William Sampson, and he will come on board Monday, March 1.

Monday, Feb. 15
At 5:15 p.m., a caller reported possible illegal dumping on North Main Street. Police Chief James DiGianvittorio said the dumping of a bunch of tires occurred there years ago. It’s on private property, and there has been no dumping there recently.
