Manitoba’s Court of Queen’s Bench has extended its suspension of all out-of-custody criminal trials for at least another month.
"The ongoing and worrisome concerns that led to the government of Manitoba’s most recent and restrictive health orders remain in effect," Court of Queen’s Bench Chief Justice Glenn Joyal said in a recent practice direction posted on the Manitoba Courts website.
The trial suspension was to remain in effect until Jan. 8, but has been extended to at least Jan. 29.
