Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, confirmed the killings in a statement on Friday.
Aruwan explained that the killings occurred in Zango Kataf and Chikun LGAs.
He said Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna, condemned the attacks and condoled with the families of the deceased persons.

“Security agencies had previously reported killings of citizens in Kibori, Katsit and Afana in Zangon Kataf local government area, and Amana Kasuwa of Igabi LGA, before reporting the killing of nine persons today, Friday, 9th July, 2021 at Warkan village of Zangon Kataf LGA, and one person at Kakkau area of Chikun LGA,” the commissioner said.

Some bandits have invaded communities in three local government areas of Giwa, Igabi and Chikun in Kaduna State, killing 10 people, including a community leader, while injuring no fewer than four persons in the attacks.
