Amid rising air pollution levels in the national capital, the Noida Traffic Police on Saturday issued a traffic advisory announcing restrictions on the entry of non-essential trucks and other vehicles into Delhi from its borders.

The 24-hour average air quality (AQI) index was 381, a significant improvement over the previous day's AQI of 447.

Delhi Air Pollution Latest Update: Noida Traffic Police said all trucks except those providing essential goods or services or those running on CNG or electric power are prohibited from entering Delhi via Noida.

The IMD has issued an orange alert, warning of moderate rainfall in the city on June 30. The maximum temperature will come down to 33-34 degrees Celsius by July 1, the weather office said.

According to the advisory, the traffic on the Noida-Delhi route will remain diverted in view of security arrangements put in place for the I-Day celebrations. Heavy vehicles coming from Noida to Delhi will have to exit the Eastern Peripheral via Noida Express Way.
