Continuing resolution? >> the reality is, it takes 60 votes to get anything out of the senate and compromising is a necessity. the reality is, house and senate republicans promised repeatedly to try to deal with the daca issue. they promised repeatedly to deal with the chip issue. that hasnt happened. republicans keep on kicking the can down the road because they cant cut a deal. democrats finally said enough is enough. to be perfectly clear, ali, im telling you, the politics of this thing going...

Likes of which i havent seen. theres a lot of blame for this president and speaker ryan and senator mcconnell. >> a big part of the country based on the news that they consume thinks this is the schumer shutdown. they think its a democratic shutdown. they think its about illegal immigration thats been appended to a resolution about money. whats the argument to say this daca thing that most americans support, including most republicans isnt part of a continuing resolution. >> the reality is it ta...

And the leadership that there will be an effort to deal with the dreamers and then every time we come to one of these deadlines, that promise is just forgotten. i think congressman dent has it exactly right. there has to be a commitment to deal with the dreamers. its about the fact that community health centers are not funded. yes chip is funded but the place that most of those kids in my community go to get their health care will be shuttered under this budget. so weve got to be able to deal wi...

Consistent. he told me that he didnt want a shutdown. he told me that he wanted to make sure that we did right by our military men and women and our veterans. and, also, on the chip issue, he said we need to make sure that we fund that and authorize that and make sure that we help these children and have the resources there to do it. so, there is nothing that was in this bill, and leader mccarthy is right, nothing this this bill that should have caused democrats to vote against it and i can tell...

People to sign. go to sherrodbrown.com, a petition, send to mitch mcconnell, negotiate for a couple more days. come to the floor that wont shut the government down. mitch mcconnell can do that, but he chooses not to, to play politics. >> that seems the play from schumer and the democratic caucus. lets do something for three or four days, keep negotiating in good faith. i want to go to the c.h.i.p. issue. you did raise this with senator hatchback in november, about c.h.i.p. i want to play that so...

And i do respect careen and i respect her work, but for her to suggest that donald trump has ever said that he wants to make america white again -- >> he said he wanted norwegian. he said -- put me down as wanting more europeans. >> what is wrong with having folks from law-abiding countries. >> when you say, jen, no haitians or africas, it sends a message. i will play michael brown. this is mike browns of south dakota explaining why in his view solving the c.h.i.p. issue is a bad thing putting a...

Evidence against him. so he figures what the hell, i really dont have any other options. he knows if he cuts a deeshlgs hell be out for couple years and gives up a lot of money. he has been straining to get back in the lineup because hes been working on his hip issue now for a long time and hes healthy. if youre a-rod, youre saying to yourself, i got nothing to lose, lets play 30, 40 games and maybe in the interim ill get lucky and his arbitrator will do what the arbitrator did with braun and il...

From what we understood to have happened. flo them the chip issue its a conversation with your father recorded. actually three conversations with your far reported. right? >> three conversations. >> one was in january? about? >> they were in -- i dont know. i dont remember the month. >> this year? >> it was this year, yeah. >> and he was in aruba and you were where? >> i was in holland, i think. one for one, and the other one i was here. >> did you use the same cell phone or "skype"? >> on the c...
