The former district magistrate and chief development officer of Chitrakoot district were booked in a case related to an NGO getting contracts under a government scheme in 2003-04 even though its registration had been cancelled.
The police said that during the preliminary inquiry, it was allegedly found that work and funds were allocated to an NGO whose registration had already been cancelled.
