but can they make the case? brian, let s me start with you on that testimonial we just heard from that baltimore police officer, which starkly contrasts from what we heard from the state s attorney today. well megan, i ve dealt with a lot of these cases out here in california and what i call mike s testimony tonight is the houdini defense for the police department. in other a freddie gray is detained. he s perfectly fine. we throw him in the van. after the first stop he s okay. the second stop he s still chitchatting. and then gee whiz all of a sudden we get to the police station, and he s dead. he s not breathing. we didn t do anything wrong. that s going to be their defense in this case megyn. but i ll tell you where there s going to be a problem. in this case it s almost like that deduction we learned in law school where you go to bed, the streets are dry. you wake up in the morning, the streets are wet. what does that mean? it rained. here freddie gray was perfectly healthy, me
causing physical and other harm to property. explaining what those boys did while drunk. watch. these guys are standing up on a balcony and throwing big champagne bottles down on us. urinating off the balcony on to the flags. one event we were standing there, you know, chitchatting with each other and a group of people came by they ripped the american flag out of the ground which is right in front of our conference room where we were standing at and they started to walk off with it. well, it s clearly shocking there? no excuse for this stupid drunken redick luz behavior. you ve got to wonder if it was integral to the fact this was a fraternity that they were fraternity brothers. they were at a fraternity event drunk young men behave like this sometimes. you kind of witch some of these veterans would have put them in their place physically you. that would have been you talk about a code code da.
good luck on the next project. you re making a series about the black experience in london, right? that s correct, yes. reporter: love that. i can t wait to see it. nice to meet you. thank you for getting him the book. have a good time tonight. okay. that s nischelle. you got to love it. this is what s going on. nischelle is basically grabbing folks from the red carpet there. publicists are bringing people up okay. so is she she s about to interview her? okay. here s the deal. we re just going to take it back to nischelle as soon as actually, as soon as she s ready in the interview. she s chitchatting. tell me who she has now? she s got lena dunham, creator and starter of girls. doesn t look like she s quite ready yet. i m looking at her there. someone s talking to her. we re going to take you back to nischelle in just a second. i m actually watching, we ve got a live camera on nischelle turner there at the golden globes. nischelle, can you hear me? reporter: i can hear
talking points and obviously it would be natural for them to be chitchatting about his son. i do find ate little surprising that the father did not know whether the son had endorsed. but bush, sr. had his history of gaffes when he mims was president. what s most interesting about that exchange altogether is the awkwardness around george w. bush and that his name has not come up in this campaign at all, his nor dick cheney s. no one s sought the endorsement of them whatsoever. susan, weigh in on that. she was talking about it seemed kind of awkward and this stuff dogged george h.w. bush during his career. should we have been surprised by this? not really given that romney s been pegged for being awkward at times, too. to go back to w s endorsement or dick cheney s, that s not necessarily the surprised thing in this primary or going forward in the election. i m not surprised to not hear those names right now at all. morris?
okay, well that s kind of a bold prediction in a state where recent polling shows him trailing governor mitt romney by a few points. governor romney may have found added momentum with his win, he captured 83% of the vote, all 20 delegates. rick santorum was not able to garner much support. his own camp admitted damage was done when he told a local newspaper speaking english should be a requirement for puerto row coto gain state hood. rick santorum has a consistent show and when he went to puerto rico and took a locally unpopular it s hard to get through it. shocking. mitt romney on the other hand switched another of his positions to gain favor in puerto rico saying puerto ricans shouldn t have to learn english if they want to become a state. romney has twice as many delegates as any other candidates. tally he stands at 518 for governor romney. senator santorum with 239, newt gingrich has 139 and ron paul has 69 delegates for that congressman. so we re going to get
