Bodies Of People Who Went Missing On Lake Malawi Found

Police in Likoma have found bodies of two people who went missing after drowning on Lake Malawi, Sunday night. The deceased, identified as Peter Nyoni aged, 21 and Mtendere Chiwiya aged 20 were found on Chizumulu Island this morning. Police Officer In-Charge for Likoma Superintendent Active Mkandawire, said the bodies were found floating in a decomposed state at around 5 am on this morning. Guardian of the now deceased John Makanjira, said family and chiefs have ordered early burial of the bodies effectively. Nyoni hailed from Kabumba village, in the area of Traditional Authority Mthwalo, Mzimba district and Chiwiya came from Chiunda village in the area of Sub-Traditional Authority Kabuthu, Chizumulu Island.
