House of Lords appoints Chloe Mawson as Clerk Assistant

Chloe Mawson was formally appointed as the first female Clerk Assistant in the House of Lords chamber on Wednesday 12 May.

The Clerk Assistant is responsible for parliamentary services, it is the second most senior role in the House of Lords Administration. The role dates back to the 1600s.
Chloe Mawson
Chloe was previously Clerk of the Journals and has worked for the House of Lords for 22 years.
