Brooklyn, new york, may 4th, 2004. a tv news helicopter is dispatched to the citys flatbush neighborhood to cover a shooting. it arrives about 6:15 p.m. and begins hovering over the police cars at the scene. its business as usual until suddenly the helicopters camera goes haywire and then the shot dies. bystanders look up and see the helicopter spiraling out of control. >> suddenly we heard a loud boom! when we looked up, there it was. we saw the helicopter. i said the helicopter is in distress....
