LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- More than 1,400 Wisconsinites died of an opioid overdose in 2022 according to Wisconsin DHS data.

Wisconsin U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin met with law enforcement, first responders, and health care professionals in La Crosse to discuss the opioid epidemic. The feedback was not encouraging, with health care professionals stating that the crisis is getting worse.
