Hospice fundraiser walks the equivalent distance between Land’s End and John o’Groats during lockdown
A woman from Wrexham has walked over 870 miles during lockdown in aid of Nightingale House Hospice.
When lockdown restrictions prevented Chris Jobson from seeing her grandchildren in London, she decided to use the time to put others first and raise money for patient care at the hospice, on Chester Road.
Setting herself the target of walking the equivalent of the distance between Land’s End and John o’Groats she has recently completed 874 miles locally and raised £1481.35 for the charity in Wrexham.
Clyde & Co appoints projects partner

Global law firm, Clyde & Co, has confirmed it has hired a new partner, who joins its Asia-Pacific projects and construction team.
Damian Watkin has relocated from the UK to Sydney for his new role, where he will be responsible for running a “multi-jurisdictional practice, conducting high-stakes international arbitrations and cross-border litigations”, according to a statement from Clyde & Co.
Mr Watkin brings over 15 years’ experience to the firm, having specialised in major projects and international dispute resolution with special expertise advising on matters affecting the energy, construction, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.
