After months of anticipation, the opening date of the beloved Voodoo Doughnut's first Chicago location is just days away.

The Portland, Oregon, chain opens Dec. 16 at 945 E. Randolph St. The first 50 people in the door will receive “a delightful surprise,” the company said.

The moment doughnut lovers have been waiting for has arrived: Voodoo Doughnut has announced its opening date for its first ever Chicago shop.

The Dallas location will be the eighth restaurant in Texas for the Portland-based gourmet doughnut joint.
