The son of an 89-year-old pensioner who ended up having two Covid vaccinations within the space of three days is now calling for answers. Graham Wright said his mother, who lives in Truro, was first visited at home last Thursday to be given her initial vaccine dose – only to be visited again on Saturday to receive another first dose. Mr Wright said initially he thought his mother, who has Alzheimer s, had got confused, but was left horrified after visiting her the next day and finding a card to say that she had indeed had another jab on Saturday. Concerned over what effect this might have on her, but with her GP surgery Lander Medical Practice, closed on a Sunday, he tried calling 111 for half an hour only to be cut off.
