Forget the Year of the Rat, 2020 should go down in history as the Year of the Digital. As lockdowns spread across the world, online events began stacking up. In the art world that meant online viewing rooms, Zoom studio visits, virtual reality exhibitions and livestream talks. It quickly became overwhelming. A few websites popped up in an attempt to gather these events into one place, including the English sites Culture Fix, from the digital agency Substrakt, and Cultural Digital: Streams, by Chris Unitt, the founder of the digital agency One Further, with several more in other languages.

The Nevada Irrigation District will take over recreational operations at the Peninsula Campground at Rollins Reservoir, effective Friday.
The district will purchase the existing private recreation lease from concessionaires Gary and Chris Unitt, who have operated the NID-owned campground since 2004. The purchase, approved Wednesday by the NID Board of Directors, includes campground assets, including good will, inventory, improvements and customer base. The purchase price is $300,000, an amount negotiated in recent weeks and accepted by the sellers.
NID Recreation Manager Peggy Davidson said the campground, which is now closed for the season, will reopen in spring under NID management.
