Credit ehrlif / Adobe Stock The Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights watchdog, says it has identified 25 hate groups in the state of Michigan for its 2020 annual Hate Map report.
Among those groups is the Christ the King Reformed Church in Charlotte, Michigan.
The church s pastor, Bret McAtee, has maligned a panoply of persons and groups, including LGBTQ individuals, feminists, non-Christian immigrants, whom he calls Christ-haters, other pastors, and people who support diversity, whom he calls race pimps.
McAtee has also mocked public health measures such as vaccines and face masks. He did not respond to a request for comment.

CHARLOTTE - Last month at Christ the King Reformed Church, Pastor Bret McAtee stood at the front of the room and urged his congregation to practice cancel culture against those practices which would dishonor God and hurt our people.”
They should do this in their personal lives, McAtee said, in a video of the service posted to the church s Facebook page.
“How much love am I showing to children who could very well get caught up in the homosexual lifestyle or tranny lifestyle if I don’t want to cancel that?” he told them.
Michigan Is One Of The Top States For Hate Groups
Unfortunately, the great state of Michigan is also one of the great states for hate groups.
There are a lot of lists that it is nice to be a part of, like having one of the greatest cities in America to live in, one the best states to retire in, one of the best communities to raise a family, one of the best states for outdoor activities, being called Beer City USA and I could go on.
But it was very disappointing to learn that Michigan has topped another list. The Great Lakes State is also one of the top states for groups. That is a list no one wants to be on, (unless you re in a hate group).
