The battle continues between a proposed Chick-fil-A restaurant and Oceanway residents who do not want to see the popular franchise moving in as their next-door neighbor.
There is expected to be a big turnout at a Jacksonville planning commission meeting on Thursday where there will be discussions about a controversial plan to build a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Oceanway.
A proposed affordable housing complex on the Northside was met with hours of opposition from concerned residents after the Land Use and Zoning Committee voted to approve the rezoning on Tuesday.
An already frustrated Oceanway community was even more flustered after being given a 24-hour notice for a public hearing regarding the rezoning of an unwanted proposed Chick-fil-A restaurant.
