a man in his home who apparently tried to put it out. it started in the basement they are telling us, then he got out and called 911. when fire crews got here, the thing was raging as you can see in the sky fox video. i will tell you in a minute about the water issues but the first firefighters to enter the house went through the front door to try to battle this thing, five of them. and they all fell through the first floor just inside the front door down into the basement. the anne arundel division chief explains what happened next. three of the firefighters were able to self extricate themselves out of the basement area. two firefighters were injured. may day was called and rapid intervention crew was dispatched. they were able to rescue and remove the injured firefighters. reporter: one of them is a 25-year-old man, career firefighter with anne arundel county. he was flown to washington hospital center, said to be in serious condition. not sure if he has burns or smoke
