A 41-year-old Union Township man was charged with  manufacturing methamphetamine after state police discovered the drug when they responded to a fight between the man and his brother. Christopher W. Smith of the 300 block of Garry Road was in Berks County Prison on Wednesday in lieu of $150,000 bail on charges of manufacturing and delivering methamphetamine, simple assault and related charges.
