New data from last school year shows a significant increase in the number of students missing over 10% of the academic school year at six western Kentucky high schools.

More Connecticut students are attending school more often, according to an announcement on Monday from the state's department of education.

Skipping school without permission could get you in trouble. And if a student misses 10% or more days of a school year, it's known as a chronic absence.

During the 2021-22 school year, 128,275 Mississippi public school students were chronically absent - Thats 33,186 more students than in the 2020-21 school year.
