This was disclosed during a courtesy call made by officials of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation on Philippine Ambassador to Japan Jose Laurel V at the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo last week.
Mitsubishi Motors officials led by Co-Chief Operating Officer Yoichiro Yatabe, General Manager for the Philippines Business Department ASEAN B Division Takehisa Usami, and Division General Manager for the ASEAN B Division and Assistant Executive Officer for ASEAN Minoru Kinoshita met with Laurel to express their appreciation for the support being extended by the Philippines to its projects in the country.
The Mitsubishi representatives told Laurel about their plan to export the locally-assembled Mitsubishi L300 in two years to neighboring Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, which will make the company the first locally-based automotive brand to export vehicles.
