Die Hochwasserkatastrophe vor rund drei Wochen hat auch in zahlreichen Gebäuden des katholischen Bistums Trier große Schäden angerichtet. Stark geschädigt seien unter anderem in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in der Pfarrei St. Pius Kirche, Pfarrheim, Pfarrhaus und Kita sowie in St. Laurentius Kirche, Pfarrhaus und Pfarrbücherei, sagte die Sprecherin des Bistums Trier, Judith Rupp. Die Kirche der Gemeinde St. Marien und St. Willibrord sei auch betroffen, müsse aber noch von Experten begutachtet werden.
