We begin tonight with an unfolding tragedy in south america in colombia where there is a state of emergency after an avalanche of water swept through a city killing more than 150 people and leaving hundreds missing. The flood triggered by heavy rain that caused three rivers to overflow their banks. It happened near the boarder with ecuador. Reporter in southwest colombia tonight a desperate effort to get the injured to safety and to account for the dead. Hours of torrential rain saw river bursting their banks releasing water and mud. Most homes no match. Entire neighborhoods were buried, homes destroyed, bridges collapsed and the trees ripped from their roots. Whats left is a blur of devastation.
