Student hosts surf camp for youngsters Cathedral Catholic High School junior Mia Boggs recently created and held a “Sunshine Surf Camp” for children with special needs on the beach south of Powerhouse Park in Del Mar. She chose to be a mentor this year for the “Options Program.” Once a week, she mentors another teen who has Down syndrome. Mia intends to pursue a career in special education.
