Following the inability to hold the annual Rodney Fair in September, the Rodney-Aldborough Agricultural Society has been looking for different ways to raise money to ensure that the next fair whenever that may be will be as great as ever.
One way is through a fundraiser now underway that should appeal to locals and hockey enthusiasts alike. In a raffle-style draw, ticket-holders have the opportunity to win a signed Vancouver Canucks captain jersey of West Elgin’s own Bo Horvat, donated by Roodzant Seed Services. The second place prize is a “gently-used” hockey stick autographed by Horvat, donated by the Horvat family.
