Samina Hamied, executive vice-chairperson of Cipla, announced her decision to step down from her executive role due to personal and family commitments. She will continue to serve as a non-executive director of the company. Hamied, the daughter of M. K. Hamied and niece of Y. K. Hamied, has been instrumental in driving Ciplas transformation and played a key role in incubating Ciplas consumer health business.

Samina is the niece of Cipla non-executive chairman YK Hamied, and daughter of his brother and non-executive vice-chairman, MK Hamied. The company said she would continue as a non-executive director.
